Sefirat Ha'Omer/ Letter Tzadik/ Letter "T"/ Monthly Unit- Holy places- "The Kotel"

hey Everybody!
We had such a busy week!
After weeks of focusing on Pesach, it was time to bring the "aleph Bet" letters to center stage. What better way to review our letters than trough fun games!!!
After reviewing them last week, we were ready to welcome a new letter. Letter Tzadik says "Tzitzit", Tzedakah" and "Tzahal".

We shaped Aleph Bet letters with Pipe cleaners.

Aleph Bet wars Boys vs. Girls was a great hit!

Aleph Bet Bingo!

Tzadik is here!

Looking at pictures from soldiers in the "Tzahal"

We made individual  Tzahal related collages .

We shaped letters out of tape guiding us with flashcards.

Tzadakah... Great opportunity to learn about different coins and how much they are worth.

penny, nickle, dime....

Sofia places the coins in the right bowls ...

making super cool money tzedakah boxes!

For letter "T" we loved decorating big and small "T"s with "Toothpicks". We made a "Tree" collage with "Tissue paper" and had a joint "Te Party" with the other nursery class. We also made a "Train" made with different math shapes!.

"From the second night of Pesach until Shavuot, we count the Omer everyday"...
We made a super cool and personalized "Sefirat Ha'Omer" chart by printing foot prints and using them to help us count as we get closer and closer to "Matan Torah".
We were amazed at the story of Rabbi Akiva and his students and discussed how to learn from their mistakes and respect one another even if they think differently.

learning how the Jewish people got ready to receive the "Torah"

one group put together a Torah for our bulletin board!

another group made "Har Sinai"

and another table created fluffy clouds!

We had a really fun "Rosh Chodesh program" where we made the yummiest bonfires with pretzels, marshmallow fluff and red Twizzlers!

In honor of "Israel day" we will be learning about our beloved country and its holy cities! We started learning about the most important one "The Kotel".
We were amazed at the story of the destruction of the "Beit Hamikdash" and came up with ideas to build the third one quickly, by adding in kindness and doing as many Mitzvot as we can. We started "The Beit Hamikdash" campaign.,  in witch every time the morahs notice the children being kind to one another they will get a "Mitzvah note" from Morah to bring home and a brick is added to our "Beit Hamikdash".

Beit Hamikdash in the making!
